People are watching us. God is watching us, and even all of creation is watching us, waiting for the revealing of those who are called “the sons of God”.
Life is not great in the animal kingdom either. They are not living the life that was intended for them to live, and they also wait with earnest expectation for Christ’s return to see who it is they will serve. Did you know that even the animals must give account before God of the life they have lived. Genesis 9:5 tells us that whether it is man or beast who sheds another mans blood, both will have to give an account before God. There are many people who profess to be the children of God (A Christian), but it is only those who allowed that Seed of Christ to continue to grow and endure to the end for the harvest who are truly the sons of God.
We live in a very deceptive world and things are not always as they appear. God looks at our heart, while we tend to look more on how it affects us, or how things look on the outside. It’s true scripture tells us we can know who are truly Christians by looking at their fruit (Matthew 7:16 & 20) or by the love they have for others (John 13:35)—but deception can be so strong and appear as having good fruit or love towards someone, when their intentions where not true. As a rule, good fruit is good fruit, but there is fruit that never matures and so is not harvested.
How can we make sure our fruit is true and remains until the end? Meditating on God’s Word is the answer... so that we come to “know” God with all of our heart. It’s God’s Word that also gives us the strength we need to endure to the end. God is there to help us through to the end, but we must be willing, and have a determined heart. Wholeheartedly, with our whole being. He will not force you to choose what you do not want.
Father, we are not alone in our cry for Your quick return. Your whole creation longs and waits to be with You forever--For the new order of things as they were intended to be. A life full of goodness and love. Thank You for your patients in transforming us to Your likeness. May our hearts be truly determined to follow You wholeheartedly and thus quicken Your return. Amen

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.
I read last week in a local newspaper of a fatal accident. The car had went off the road and hit a tree. A father and his son were the only passengers. There was no bad weather, only a substantial amount of alcohol, which still lingered in the air. For the son, his life is over. All the training he received through the short 32 years of his life on earth, which influenced his choices, now are over. School is out, and now, the “real” life begins. Which ever destination this young man has arrived at—He is there for eternity.
Death only ushers us into the next world. We were created by the Eternal God, and so we are all eternal beings. Everyone of us has been given the ability to make one of two choices—There is “no one” that will pass from this world to the next world of eternity without being fully aware of where he/she is going. We are destined, not by another force, but destined based on our own choices. We teach and train our children, mostly by examples, by the way we live our own life. All the things we do, tells others: This is what I truly believe in. What we don’t really have, is a clear understanding that when we don’t do what we know to be right and true, it affects us and those around us. If we did, we would act differently.
We are an example to everyone around us. Proverbs 22:6 tells us that when we train a child, that training sticks,. This should cause us to get serious about what we are teaching by our examples. Although we can never really tell someone else’s destination just by what we see outwardly—We can be sure that good godly training through the scriptures will have a positive affect on their choices and so also their destination. As long as we still have breath, it is never too late to cry out to the one true God and creator of all things. And then receive His free gift of His only begotten Son Jesus, who died not just for some, but for the whole world.
Greater love has no one than this, to lay down one’s life for his friends. (John 15:13) Jesus did that for us, and more. It is worth training ourselves and others to follow this Savior.
Father, help us to see the importance of being a good example to others, that our life may be a holy and godly life not only for our own benefit but also to the many people who are watching us. May we always bring pleasure to You by the things that we do and say. Thank you for laying down Your life for me... Now help me lay down my own life, giving it only to You and following Your example. In Jesus’ name I ask. Amen.

John 17:21 that they all may be one as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.
Jesus is praying to His Father that “all” believers (those who belong to Him) be in complete unity as He is with His Father, that they too would be united with them. That their thoughts would all speak the same thing, no divisions, they would be of the same mind and the same judgement. (I Corinthians 1:10)
This unity of believers would show the world that Jesus really is the Son of God. This is what the Scripture says. Now it is true that all believers are joined in unity through Christ, to the Father and the Holy Spirit in the body of Christ. But the unity Jesus is talking about is more than just that... it’s the result of continuing in that unity with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Most Christian’s today are so far away from speaking the same thing and having the same mind which becomes a direct hindrance to our evangelizing the world as we were instructed to do. Remember above. This unity is how the World will know that Jesus is God’s Son. It is an important part of coming into the Family of God.
Paul tells us in Ephesians 4:13 that there is a “unity of faith” and of “the knowledge of the Son of God” that we should all be striving for. Today, we all do our own thing, not seeking that oneness in God, and so lack the “knowledge of the Son of God”. Paul earlier stated in Galatians, how he marveled at how soon people were turned away to another Gospel, which really isn’t another Gospel at all. History proves to us, that we are a people quick to form doctrines out of every little thing and totally miss the message God had spoken to us.
Let’s renew our minds to the things of God, if we think the same thoughts as God, we will then all be in unity with God and each other.
Father, help us to understand that when we speak Your Words with the same intent, love and faith as You had speaking them, then they become alive in us, and Your revelation knowledge can then flow out to others. It is being in this same mind and thought that causes Your Word to flow freely from Your lips through ours to others. Lord help us seek wholeheartedly this oneness in You. Amen
