"Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown, and increase the fruits of your
God takes care of all our needs so that there is no room for us to boast in ourselves. He supplies the seed that He asks us to sow so that He can bless us more abundantly. But here’s something we might not see when reading this verse, “...and increase the fruits of your righteousness.” How do we increase the fruits of righteousness?
II Peter 1:2 & 3 “Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the
knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all
things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who
called us by glory and virtue,” It is through the Grace of God that we

“multiply” this Grace by knowing God and the Lord Jesus. It is through that
knowledge of Him that we can increase the fruits of our
Do we actually increase Christ’s righteousness or multiply the Grace of
God—making it more?? Of Course we don’t. God is big, and we can’t change Him. But knowing God more—causes His Grace and righteousness to appear as if it has increased. In reality, it is our awareness of this new revelation that causes our knowledge of God to increase, and thus our fruit and Grace is multiplied from what we had before. That revelation knowledge God’s Word brings us, causes us to bear fruit and increase. We need that fruit to survive. We need to live a productive life if we are going to endure to the end, and this fruit only comes by knowing Christ—His Word.
Father, it is true that no one can ever out do Your giving and Your kindness shown to us. You cause laughter of joy to break forth because of Your abundance in which
You provide for us. Thank You a million times over for the blessing of giving to
others, and for the blessing of knowing You.
