"No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me, says the LORD."
We live in a fallen world, and by no ones choice but our own. You may say, But I
didn’t eat of that tree—The truth is, we would have did the same, if it were us in that situation. We all have felt the heartaches and troubles which are a result of mankinds fall. One of my own hardships, was divorce—a terrible thing no matter which way you look at it. There isn’t one family member that isn’t somewhat effected by it. The lies and twistings of the truth can all seem quite unbearable. People in desperation, grabbing at anything that pops into their mind, fighting to hold on to that relationship or maybe some just so they don’t look bad lashing out at the one they use to love. Nobody really likes divorce. It’s an evil that hurts everyone it touches. And when it’s our own children who are suffering, it is even harder to accept.
Sometimes divorce is a result of a Christian and non-Christian marriage, or just not putting enough mature thought into our choice. So what do we do if we find
ourselves in this situation? For the Christian there is hope. Our verse promises
that “no weapon formed against you shall prosper,” We (as Christians)
have promises from God to help us in troubled times, even if we may have brought them on by ourselves. Putting our trust in God to protect us from those false accusations, or any trouble coming against us, can give us peace in the midst of the trouble, and victory in the end. So no matter what troubles may come against you, and they will—remember your heritage as a part of God’s family, and stand on His Words—We belong to Him, and God will protect us. He loves us, and we are His children. He has abundantly provided for us.
thank You for being there in my time of need--even
when it was me who messed up. Thank You for your comfort and peace, and the
victory that You bring when my trust is in You. I will praise You all of my life
for Your unfailing goodness and love.
