The word Salvation, YESHA (yeh-shah) is another word for LORD, and carries with it the full meaning of the provisions Jesus has provided for us: deliverance, rescue, safety, welfare ( which is the word for health), prosperity, and victory. Whenever I see the word “Salvation” this is always comes to mind:
The LORD who provided abundantly all things for me. This is what causes me to come only to Him for “all” my needs. I depend on Him to give me understanding (the light) of how to receive the things He has provided for me. And I learn to seek Him first for all things He has provided for me. When I “know” Jesus in that way, who is it then that I should be fearful of?? No one. And when I see the LORD as the strength of the very life He gives me—I understand it is not by my might that I receive His blessings. My receiving has nothing to do with my own ability, but has everything to do with putting my trust in Him. And because of this, I can say again, Of whom shall I be afraid?? No one, nothing at all. Not any of life’s problems at all.
Now, I have not fully succeeded in all areas pertaining to the provisions of salvation, but I have come along way. And it’s not that I don’t believe 100% that God has provided everything for me—right now, and in this life time—but these provisions are received by faith. Faith is a fruit (Gal. 5:22) and fruit does not grow on an immature tree. So I continue to meditate in His Word so my hope matures and bears me the fruit of His faith. I know that a tree watered regularly by the Word of God will always produce that fruit. So the more I water the more I will grow to maturity. O taste and see, that the LORD is good.
Father, I thank you for the provisions that you have provided for us... but I also thank you for the the light given to us and for being our strength... Thank you for everything. Thank you Lord also that we are able to freely meditate on your word as we so desire, that is a tremendous blessing that many of us do not realize. May we learn to take advantage of these times and learn of You. Your perfect love for me, has chased away all my fears. I am so amazed of the love You have shown me. Thank you Lord for loving me, for loving all of us.. Amen.
